Workers’ Compensation and Risk Management

All of our shared employees are covered by a master workers’ compensation insurance policy. We do not require a deposit in most cases.  Additionally, client companies are afforded protection under state workers’ compensation laws as though they are “subscribers under the Act.”  Employers’ liability coverage to a limit of $1 million is also included. Certificates of Insurance are usually available within 24 hours.

Claims experience is one of the most important factors affecting workers’ compensation premiums. Brumley works with clients in the development of a specific safety program that reduces on-the-job injuries and makes incident prevention a high priority among the workforce.

Our safety program includes:

• Inspections of work and/or job sites for unsafe conditions
• Brief safety meetings conducted at the client’s convenience
• Completion of appropriate post-injury paperwork
• On-line tracking of claim costs and frequent client reviews
• Regular communication between adjusters and injured employees to relieve employee uncertainty, contain the cost of treatment and get them back to work
• Post-incident drug screens
• Development of a comprehensive substance abuse program, including employee training and enforcement
