Human Resource Management

We know that when companies have the time and energy to focus on the “business of their business” rather than the “business of employment,” they are better positioned to succeed. So we offer a number of services to relieve our clients from routine and tedious activities related to regulatory compliance, risk management, insurance and employee benefits.

Our experts handle these tasks so that our client companies and their HR staff are able to take on activities that are more effective to the bottom line, such as planning, creating policy and procedures, and training programs for new employees.

Our services include:

  • Employer and employee training. We provide opportunities for client companies and our shared employees to receive training on various topics that are either required by law or make good business sense. Our training includes instruction on safety issues that afffect the employee/employer relationship such as OSHA regulations and requirements.  We also provide specific job skills safety training such as forklift operation and safety.
  • Employee file maintenance. We provide complete management reports and forms used to document employee actions, such as change notices, warnings, leaves of absence, termination forms and accident reporting/investigation forms.

  • Employee handbooks. As one of the most important features of the Brumley program, our employee handbook is a comprehensive overview of policies and procedures for the workforce. The handbook outlines state and federal regulations affecting the employee/employer relationship, standards of employee conduct, approved work absences, substance abuse policies and vehicle/driver guidelines. At the client’s request, it can also include the company’s mission statement or core values.

  • Unemployment claims.  We work closely with our client companies on unemployment claims filed by terminated employees, challenging unjustified claims and taking the lead in conducting claim hearings.
